In 2019 the Laek Odamata house conducted a house rebuilding ceremony. Fertility-giver and -taker members of the community all participated in the consecration of the new house. The house had been burnt to the ground in 1975 and was rebuilt in 2017 from grass but with beams and supports from steel and concrete. Photo credit: Jorge Lopes
