At the time of the Indonesian invasion this village was burnt down and abandoned. Over the period of the Indonesian occupation the community rebuilt their sacred house in a simple hamlet not far from the original site. Today in the old hamlet we can still find the foundations of the old origin house, the altar and dancing place. The old hamlet is still used as a gathering place and for important ceremonies such as the grass burning (Bunak: "an ini") ceremony, rituals to guarantee the fertility of the land or at the time of the corn harvest.
